Michigan Language Assessment administers the digital 4-skill MET through hundreds of authorized test centers across Latin America, Southern Europe, Australia, North America, and Asia. If you need MET for an Australian visa (Home Affairs LIN 25/016) or US CGFNS VisaScreen, you must book an in-person test center sitting rather than an online proctored test.

Test center vs. MET at Home: Which one should you book?
- Australian Department of Home Affairs (Visas): You MUST take the 4-skill MET in person at an approved test center. Remotely proctored (“at-home”) tests are not accepted for Australian visa applications.
- US Healthcare (CGFNS / TruMerit VisaScreen): Requires in-person test center administration; verify directly with your state board before booking.
- Latin American & European University Graduation (B1/B2): Many universities accept testings administered by their local Binational Center (e.g., Colombo Americano, ICPNA) or Hellenic American Union; check your university’s language department rules.

Does the MET test center exam use a computer?
Yes. At authorized test centers worldwide, the 4-skill MET is delivered digitally on a computer workstation with a headset and microphone (using the Surpass assessment interface). Our practice platform replicates that exact computer screen layout.
Can I take a Single-Section Retake (SSR) at an MET test center?
Yes. Michigan Language Assessment allows eligible test-takers to retake a single section at an authorized test center, and the Australian Department of Home Affairs accepts MET score reports that include one Single-Section Retake.
